The W Hotel Philadelphia DJ booth was conceived as both a sculptural centerpiece and a fully functional performance station. Its form merges architectural precision with material artistry, creating a balance between luxury and utility that reflects the hotel’s modern identity.
Design Details:
Recycled Crushed Glass Facade: A shimmering, textured body crafted from recycled glass, designed to catch and refract ambient light, creating a soft gradient glow that shifts with the room’s energy.
Stainless Steel Plasma-Cut “W” Logo: Precision-cut and backlit, the logo appears to float within the surface — a subtle nod to the brand’s sleek sophistication.
Cement Composite Top & Base: Custom-poured concrete surfaces provide a tactile contrast to the glass, offering both weight and permanence.
Custom Birch Cabinetry: Fully integrated storage compartments designed to house vinyl, mixers, and Pioneer DJ equipment — combining studio-grade function with refined craftsmanship.
Lined Leather Drawers: A tailored interior touch that elevates everyday usability with a sense of elegance.
Integrated LED System: Hidden lighting elements illuminate the booth from within, giving it a sculptural glow that transforms from day to night.
